Get Up & Go with an aerobics class that’s safe, heart-healthy and gentle on the joints. The workout includes easy-to-follow low-impact movement, and upper-body strength, abdominal conditioning, stretching and relaxation exercises designed to energize your active lifestyle.

SilverSneakers Classic

Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activities for daily living. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a SilverSneakers ball are offered for resistance. A chair is available if needed for seated or standing support.

SilverSneakers Yoga

SilverSneakers Yoga will move your whole body through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered to safely perform a variety of seated and standing postures designed to increase flexibility, balance and range of movement. Restorative breathing exercises and final relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity.

Tai Chi: Movement for Balance

Keep your balance!   Inspired by Tai Chi, this class helps to improve balance and increases everyday confidence in doing every day activities. This class teaches balance skills and good body alignment by using coordinated and flowing movements, inspired by Tai Chi.

Senior Exercise

Volunteer led exercises consists of stretching and strengthening, as well as aerobic walking. This is an excellent way to keep muscles flexible and strong, which is very important for preventing falls and injury.

AOA Personal Training

Beginning an exercise program and don’t know where to start? Do you want to fine-tune what you are currently doing? This fall we are introducing Personal training at the MVCC YMCA. Whether you want to exercise at the community center, at home or a mix of both, we have a certified personal trainer who can get you to your fitness goals. Our trainer can personalize workouts based on your lifestyle—from being sedentary to or more active. We will assess your goals and needs, and support your path to a healthy lifestyle. We offer a wide variety of ways you can explore personal training
 
Variety of easy formats:
 
· One-on-One Personal Training—just you, the trainer, and your personalized program.
30-minute sessions—$55
 
· Buddy Training—customized training in groups of two or three.
30-minute sessions—$40
 
· Group Training— Trainer-Led Group classes for four to eight participants run in scheduled seven-week
30-minute sessions—$18

Pickleball Club
 
Pickleball, a combination of tennis, badminton, and ping pong, is one of the fastest growing sports in the country. People of all ages find pickleball to be a fun way to exercise and meet new people.
