Parks and Facilities

{CE4E13C0-EE61-474F-8142-D4064E4C6CDF}Public Works is responsible for planning, constructing, operating, and maintaining Mounds View's parkland and park facilities located in the 11 park system.  The YMCA is contracted by the City to run the recreation program and rent the various park shelters and fields.

Typical park facilities include park buildings/shelters, athletic fields (baseball, soccer, football), athletic courts (tennis, basketball, volleyball), hockey/skating rinks, frisbee golf course, playground equipment, winter sliding hills, picnic facilities, and walking trails.  Public Works staff works closely with the YMCA to ensure facilities are ready for athletic events and park building rentals.  If you are interested in renting a park facility, please the YMCA at 763-717-4036.
